How To Bake Sweet And Sour Pork Ribs

Most of my audience have written to me asking for a pork recipe, since it is winter I chose to bake some even though my personal preference is barbecue on a sunny day. This is how I baked sweet and sour pork ribs Thai way, you only need 4 basic ingredients and some hungry friends.(smile)

½ pound pork ribs
½ cup hoisin sauce
¼ cup Chilli sauce
¼ cup tomato sauce

Steps To Bake Pork Ribs

Begin by Cutting pork ribs into individual ribs, you can skip this step however, you want all sides of the pork ribs to get the marinade. And this my friends is the hardest part of making this recipe. How cool is that?

In a mixing bowl make the marinade by mixing all the other ingredients, hoisin Sauce, chilli Sauce and Tomato Sauce. Use a kitchen brush, or spoon, save yourself time for clean up by using the brush as you will use the same to get the marinade on the pork. Reserve ¼ cup for use later.

Dip the pork ribs and use the brush or your hands to get all that marinade on all sides, you can marinate at least two hours but the longer the better.

Finally, cover your baking sheet with a foil.Transfer the ribs into the tin and use another foil to cover the tin. Bake at 350 degrees for 1.5 to 2 hour.

Am sure we all love sticky ribs to achieve that, use the left over marinade, brush the ribs and broil on high for 7 to 10 minutes. Keep an eye on the oven as the ribs might burn.

Serve.
